A very good machine for non-professionals

We have tried several sewing machines for our household needs, finally settling to this one. Most other sewing machines advertise SPEED, while non-professionals need low-speed control in the first place... CS6000i has a three-position speed control knob in addition to the foot continuous control. Moreover, it has a push button single-stitch command. With these options, we have been able to sew complicated upholstery sets up to 6-ply stacks of heavy fabric. A machine without low-speed control would have unavoidably run into dangerous accidents.

This little sewing machine has it all. It can handle most any sewing project. I love the fact that it is light weight, has easy to understand instructions and well made.. This is a great sewing machine for beginner or experienced seamstress. A zippy little sewing machine made by Brother once again!!! A+

Absolutely Love This Machine!

A good little workhorse ... so light that I don't mind taking it with me to sew with the girls each week. Quieter than my Bernette. You cannot beat the price on this. And, it comes with useful accessories. Gonna buy a second one for use when my granddaughter comes to visit and stitch with me.

I've had this machine for a few years now, never had a problem with it at all. Sews great every time I use it. I really want the brother SE600 that's dream machine. To expensive for me as of right now but hopefully one day I'll get it.

The machine was well packed and arrived in a timely manner. It was easy to set up and I made my first button holes for the quiet book shown.I love the drop down needle and drop in bobbin feature. It does come with a manual, but I find lots of video tutorials online videos to be most helpful. Also very easy to remove bobbin case for cleaning.
