This is the third Cuisinart coffee maker we have purchased (same model). The coffee maker is great...however it continues to drip coffee after the light goes off showing it is done brewing. The coffee maker continues to drip coffee and we continually wipe up the dripping coffee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have enjoyed our Cuisinart so much. It's nice being able to set your coffee timer before bed and smell the freshness in the morning as it brews. It's made coffee drinking a real pleasure. No bitterness. Always tastes good.

This is the second of this model that we have had. The first one died a natural death as it would no longer heat at all after more than eight years. The new carafe pour lid is an improvement and the unit is easy to clean and maintain. Lost it's five star as the "beep alert" has stopped working altogether after just a few months of use.

Coffee in the morning is really important to me. And it needs to be good. My Cuisinart coffee maker is the best. Love the metal carafe. No burnt bitter coffee taste from sitting on a heating element. Water reservoir a little tricky to fill.

I bought this product about 3 months ago. I like the idea of the coffee maker turning off when finished and the thermal pot keeping the coffee hot. The only issue you is the lid to the coffee pot has started leaking when you are pouring.

I bought this metal carafe unit to replace the several glass units of other brands that keep on breaking. So far it works as described. But there's a bitter taste and aftertaste to the brewed coffee which I did not experience with glass carafes. I'm yet to use the cleaning feature so can't comment on that but everything is working fine & the design is classy.

I purchased the same coffeemaker for our cabin because I liked the one we have at the house so we keep two going. Makes great coffee. We don't use the programmable part but it's there if we decide to use it. My husband is the coffeemaker in this family and he loves this coffeemaker.
