This is my third one. They all last just about exactly 3 years. That’s about a thousand pots. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot and the same taste throughout . No cooking like with a glass carafe on a hot plate.

I bought this to replace s coffeemaker from a different brand and so far it has worked very well. Not having a removable water resovoir is oinly a minor inconvenience but I really wish that the clock was illuminated.

This is my 2nd Cuisinart Coffeemaker, the 1st Thermal one. Thought it was a great idea but the coffee ends up tasting like "thermos coffee" and you have to zap your 2nd cup in a microwave because it gets cool in about 15 minutes.
