It's hard to get the last ounce of liquid out of the carafe. It must be turned almost 180 degrees to be completely emptied.

the carafe is very poorly designed. There is an inner lip that makes pouring difficult. My old coffee maker had a removable water container that was easy to use. It is difficult to pour water in this coffee maker as the lid is in the way.

My previous version of this same coffee maker started to die after many years of daily use. I specifically looked to see if Cuisinart made the same machine, and fortunately for me, they did! I like the SS carafe rather than the glass carafe as the coffee stays hot without the need of a burner.

I love that there is heat under the pot for a little while. I have a bit of a struggle sometimes getting the lid to screw on the pot. Love this coffee maker!
