This is our third Cuisinart with the thermal pot. This is a tried and true model, with the other coffee makers their glass decanters broke too easily and ultimately we prefer the thermal heat in this model as opposed to a heat pad to keep the coffee warm.

We needed a programmable machine and we needed it to have an automatic Off. This one does both. Coffee stays hot for a few hours. Carafe is a little heavy compared to a glass pot but that is the price you pay to have a 5-star carafe that truly keeps the coffee hot.

This coffeemaker brews the best tasting coffee I've had home.At first I was skeptical because it finished brewing much faster than my previous Cuisinart.I really like the thermal carafe because it keeps the coffee hot and the flavor constant. I hope this one lasts longer than my previous Cuisinart. Unfortunately the reservoir leaked after four years. I hope they resolved that problem.
