I bought this to replace a Cuisinart coffee maker that I had for over 10 years until it started leaking. I like that the water line is much easier to see on this one and I can only hope this one last just as long!

What’s with the carafe?

This coffee maker has a terrible carafe. Whoever pours the first cup has to do it over the sink because it drips. You cannot pour the last coffee out without removing the lid. Worst of all, the opening of the carafe is so small that it cannot be cleaned well and will soon have grimy coffee buildup that can only be cleaned with a vinegar soda soak.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I specifically wanted a thermal carafe to keep coffee hot for awhile. It stays hot however it isn’t super hot when it brews. This is fine for me as I don’t want extremely hot coffee I like to be able to start sipping as soon as I pour.
