I love the following features: Programmable, auto shut-off, metal carafe to keep coffee warm & ability to drink a cup while coffee is still brewing. I use & appreciate every feature. I am also using the internal water filter & steam cleaner but it is too early to comment on either of those.

Coffee does not stay hot and was too many steps to make it hot? Really? I’ve had six Quisunarts and I’ve never had a problem with keeping the coffee hot.

I had high hopes that this thermal carafe coffee maker would perform at least as well as my old Mr. Coffee of similar design. Sadly, I was aiming a bit too high.
The Cuisinart gets high marks for keeping the coffee warm after brewing. However, setting up the maker to brew coffee is somewhat of a pain: first, the window to view the amount of water in the machine is placed on the right side, near the back. Since most of the world is right-handed, this requires one to stop pouring water in order to see how much has actually been poured in; second, the area into which one must pour the water is woefully small, coupled with the wide top rim of the carafe, making the pouring task (water and coffee) an exercise in slow precision; third, using the same amount of ground coffee as was necessary for the Mr. Coffee system, the coffee is weak, without the usual robust flavor to which I'm accustomed--this, of course, requires more grounds to be used per pot of coffee.
In closing, the overall performance of this machine is passable, but barely. I will not be buying another Cuisinart when this one gives out and will replace it as soon as possible.

We bought this machine to replace an old Mr. Coffee. The machine is beautiful, easy to use, and brews a good cup of coffee. The only detraction is the crafe doesn't keep the coffee very hot for a long time. I went back to a new Mr. Coffee and have the Cuisinart stored on a shelf.

We had one of the exact same maker for about 10 years. We had to replace it because it was knocked off the counter. We could not find it in store so we bought another brand. BAD decision. Looked online and Hallelujah we found it. Great coffeemaker.

My old cuisinart thermal coffeemaker made better coffee. It was stronger and stayed warmer in the thermal carafe. This one is good but not great.
