Very nice coffeemaker - keeps coffee very hot. Simple to use. Only minor complaint is the almost complete inability to empty the carafe totally. I keep a measuring cup nearby to fill with water as using the carafe is clumsy. When you pour the coffee from the carafe, when it gets near the end, you literally have to hold the carafe almost upside down. I understand the neck of the carafe has to be narrow to fit under the filter area so it is just a minor inconvenience. Definitely would order this again. I've used it for about a month now.

I had a cruisnart coffeemaker for over 10 years (which I was extremely happy with), so when it was time to get a new one, I was looking to get another cruisnart. However, the first one I got (which was the most updated model) was leaking a great deal water from the bottom, so I decided to go with a brand new older model. To my surprise, this model also needs to be wiped cleaned of water every time I make coffee, though not leaking a great deal of water from the bottom, the water leaks a bit inside where carafe is kept. Also, the plastic lid on top (which doesn't snap closed) kicks open when water is steaming hot vapor when making coffee with steam coming out of the coffeemaker. I am so disappointed that cruisnart is no longer makes good coffeemakers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We really like this coffee maker. It's easy to use and the carafe keeps coffee hot for quite a while. The only downside with this and other similar Cuisinart coffee makers we've had is that the coffee can spill over when pouring, even when pouring slowly. Not sure what the issue is. We don't put the carafe or lid in the dishwasher, so warping can't be the problem. There is no rubber seal in the lid so that may be the problem.
