We have had this coffeemaker for several months. It is very easy to use and makes great coffee. The carafe keeps the coffee nice and hot for a long time. The only negative I have is that it makes a bit of a mess when pouring the last cup or so. It drips out from the cover, found it less messy to remove the cover first.

Taste good even an hour later. I love the fact that it doesn’t sit there and continue to cook like the glass carafes. I’ve used these before in condominium rentals, and I loved them. The stainless steel carafe is great. Once you own one you’ll never go back.

Overall, the coffee maker (and carafe) produce a fine cup of coffee. The thermal carafe does keep the coffee warm for 3-4 hours (if the "extra hot" option is chosen at brewing time). The carafe's flaw is that, at random times, the dark plastic top will slightly detach (about 1 1/16th of an inch under the pouring lip) from the stainless steel bottom causing the carafe to leak. Gentle pressure will re-seat the plastic top and the leaking will stop. Other than this issue, the unit is sound.
