If you want 6 cups of strong coffee you will need 8 cups of beans. If you like it strong use the darkest beans you can find.

The coffee maker makes great tasting coffee and I have owned 3 of them in the past 25 years. However the second one only lasted less than 2 years before it died. I’m on my third machine and if it dies in less than 5 years it will be my last one.

Not good with flavored beans

Bought this coffee maker a few months ago and doesn't work with flavored beans. They get stuck so I ended up buying a separate grinder. Do NOT recommend if you use flavored coffee beans.

We got this as a gift and had to return it, because the craft just isn't staying warm. The coffee comes out lukewarm. I like my coffee steaming hot... It seems the heating plate just isn't working properly.

It makes great coffee maybe it’s an age thing I am 77 years old but I found it hard to use at first hard to see time and strength indicator needs a light the matching of arrows dark brown. Do enjoy the smell and freshness of coffee.
