I bought this because I like fresh bean coffee each morning. It gives an excellent taste and allows for strength adjustment. The downside is the difficulty putting water into the unit because the resivour opening requires moving the entire pot forward each time. Otherwise it’s a great purchase for the price.

I find this coffee maker a bit of a challenge.

I have been grinding my coffee beans fresh every morning to make coffee for nearly 40 years. I like to make strong coffee (a friend of mine once told me that after stirring in cream and sugar into a cup of my coffee he thought he was lucky to get his spoon back).
I do not understand how this coffee maker determines the amount of coffee beans that need to be ground. To make 10 cups of coffee I have to run the grind cycle for 12 cups of coffee twice!
I also do not like how difficult it is to clean the chute where the ground coffee is transferred into the brewing basket. This should be an assembly that lifts out of the coffee maker for easy cleaning.
I clean the chute every day since I use a different blend of coffee beans each day.
Even though I have to fight with this coffee maker, it does make a good cup of coffee.
