I bought this battery to replace the same type which had died. My old one lasted about three years which to me says it's pretty good since my prior laptop from a different company didn't even last three years. Very few things could be changed to make it a better product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this battery. It has a way longer charge than the one that came with my HP Pavilion dv4 laptop. It can go about 8 hours without being charged which makes it great for my needs as a student. It was delivered quickly, and was super easy to install. You just pop the old one out, stick this one in, and charge it. I would recommend this product.

I read previous reviews and decided to try this battery myself. The battery does not stay locked in and must be on a flat surface to function well. I have not gotten 8 hours only about 5. This of course is better than my battery that came with my HP and only gave me 2 hours tops. Wish product was better, but I did gain 3 more hours.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using my extended battery for a couple of weeks and I am very pleased with the extended life capability. I tend to have several windows open at the same time and the extended battery life lasts really well. I also like the way the larger battery elevates my keyboard without needing an aftermarket lift. I would strongly recommend this 12 cell battery.

HP Batteries are not good

I have bought this battery and the one that reached me was a faulty one. I got it replaced with HP and the fresh battery sent to me started showing issues after 6 months of use. Now the battery started showing symptoms of not charging. Also, one thing which I noticed that HP batteries take so longer time to get charged compared to my other laptop batteries.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've only had the battery for a couple weeks, but it's worked great so far! I can't believe how long it lasts. I can go to Starbucks and work outside, without having to plug in, for over four hours. I love it.

Happy with Performance

I've been using this battery for 3 weeks and I'm happy with the performance. It charges quickly and holds the charge. It uses about 10% of charge in the first hour of use. The larger battery housing fits my HP Pavilion dv6 and actually helps it run cooler as the pack holds the bottom of the laptop off the desk surface, providing more air flow. The fan doesn't kick on as often or work as hard as it did with the 6-cell battery I had before. From the descriptions, I wasn't sure this would fit my laptop but decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did.
