It takes fuzzy photos. It is awful. None of my graduation photos turned out. It is slow and the photos are ALWAYS FUZZY. It was a waste of money!
Pros: cheap
Cons: Poor image quality, Difficult to use, Short battery life, Heavy/Bulky, fuzzy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

in auto kids and pets landscape and scn macro is not getting enabled

i had powershot a530 in which i cus use macro mode in auto mode
has this feature been removed?

Great pictures and it is extemely user friendly. I have not used it long enough to know about battery life but will get back after holiday as to that factor.
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

I would recommend this brand and style of camera for anyone who is looking for simplicity and ease of use. I would like a better flash charge but still acceptable.

i've been doing photography for a few years now
and I recently switch from the old high quality 35 mm camera that took film, so i'm somewhat new to digital cameras,
I found that this camera to be excellent camera for beginners and semi pro alike, its a good starter camera for those of you starting to get into photography at inexpensive price. and it has some high quality features, while still keeping the menu lay out simple and easy to use,
i would recommend using this camera for still life, family photography, bird watching, and subjects not moving to fast.

EASY TO USE

THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH A DIGITAL CAMERA. I TOOK IT TO LAS VEGAS FOR A RACING EVENT AND WAS AMAZED AT THE QUALITY OF THE PICTURES AND THE EASE OF OPERATION. I EXPERIMENTED BRIEFLY WITH IT BEFORE I LEFT AND ONLY HAD A FEW PICTURES THAT WERE UNACCEPTABLE AND AT THIS TIME I HAVE IT FIGURED OUT. I AM TOTALLY PLEASED WITH MY CAMERA

A Great Buy

I have never owned a digital camera, so I am truly a novice. I was happy with the price and the appearance of the Canon Powershot A1100 IS so I decided to try it. It worked easy for a beginner and performed above my expectations. It was also easy to transfer the photos to my computer and facebook for all my friends to enjoy.
Pros: excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

This camera is the easiest I have used. Easy to down load and has great pictures. I highly recommend this camera.
