I have not been able, timewise and tech-wise to enable fax. The printer kept going offline, but I think it's OK now. the copies are excellent, and that's what I use most. I've had others comment on the quality of the print.

I have had a number of epson printers and all in ones in the past. But this has been the best overall. Solid, sturdy, and very functionalable for all of my needs. Overall, a very good machine. If there is a downfall, it would be that is is a little noisey. Tollerable, but noisey.

Printer Cartridges are Too Expensive
on November 22, 2010

Printer is ok; however, it has 5 separate cartridges. According to the Quick Guide manual "You cannot print/copy when an ink cartridges is expended even if the other cartridges are not expended." Which could mean you have to replace ALL the cartridges, even though you still have ink left in one. Very expensive printer to operate. Not a good overall value.

INK HOG

I've had my WorkForce 310 all-in one for about a year now. I bought it mostly because of the fax & scan capabilities in addition to printing. The price was resonable & I do not have any complaints about the production qualities. It does use a lot of ink & the cartridges aren't inexpensive either! But my most frustrating situation is that not only does it suck up the ink but it dictates to me to buy more (your product) & SHUTS DOWN UNTIL I DO! I resent that very much so!! I did a lot of comparison shopping before I bought this printer but no where did I see that it wouldn't run without 2! black & 1 of each colors, totaling 5 carthridges. You better believe that the next all-in-one I buy, I will look for this fault first.

Better Options Available

OK for the price if you are copying one page on the scanner plate. Bbut if you are using the automatic feeder, it cannot easily handle mutliple pages, and it constantly jams. Additionally, as noted in other reviews, replacing the ink cartridges is frequent and expensive.

Put in 4 sheets in document feeder to scan and it worked great. Put in 30 sheets and it jammed after the second sheet. Took out half of sheets, it jammed again. Took out half of the sheets and it jammed again.
Not happy with the document feeder.
It seems to print OK.
