A Good Value

Have used many Epson products and this current one seems to work well. Even though it is a multi-function machine, I use it mostly for printing photographs. I'm sure I will also use the copy feature as well. Pretty simple to operate and very easy to set up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson 310 workforce

I recently purchased this all in one printer. I have had it only a few days. It was somewhat challenging to install the software. It did not show up automatically.
I am not a novice or an expert and handle technology fairly well.
It does not come with a USB cable and this annoyed me as I have to go buy one. The paper feeder is not as secure as I would like . It is not easy to know the paper is going to feed well and the mechanics of the feeder is not a very well thought out tray. It is a little cheaper looking and feeling than my CX6400.

This is only my second printer and I decided on an Epson again. I love the ethernet capabilities and the fax set up was simple and now I can get rid of another machine in my office, a seperate fax machine.
I was surprised at how noisy it is when it prints and only accidentally came across a way to reduce this noise. Now it is quieter but not as quiet as my last Epson CX6400 which was flawless for 6 years.

I am not sure how this workforce 310 will perform for all of its features over the years but I know I rely on Epson for my printers.

Great value; paper feed needs work, though

A couple nozzles of our old Epson all-in-one got clogged and did not respond to repeated cleanings with a syringe, so we replaced it with the Workforce 310. I thought it was very inexpensive for all the features. When we first started using it, it would print everything at an angle. I adjusted the paper retaining clip on the left so it was tighter against the paper, and now the output is correct. The paper still starts to be pulled to one side, but the retaining clip pulls it back into line. I don't think this was just a problem with our printer, either. I've read reviews that mention the same thing. The other paper feed issue is that it is difficult to load paper. This problem, unfortunately, does not go away. Paper gets stuck on something and tries to go in front of where it should. This is especially a problem when feeding in a single sheet when paper is loaded (e.g. for 2-sided printing). Every other feature we've used has worked perfectly. If Epson just improved the paper feed, this would be a top-notch value printer.

The fax copy and scan work great ,picture quality could be a little better but for the price i got it for it is well worth the dime!!! If your not doing pictures as a main purpose this would be a great all in one for anybody!!!!

I have not tried the scanner or fax yet and probably will not use those for a while yet, but I am very pleased with the quality of prints and copies that I've made! That's the only reason for the 4 stars vs 5.
