I just purchased the 42 inch LH50 HDTV. I'm very pleased with the quality and performance of this LG product.

What a great set. The picture is flawless, Getting onto the internet is way ahead of its time and a big plus. I would recommend this set to anyone. A great buy for the money and because it is an LG we will be enjoying the set for many years to come. Thanks for a great product at a great price.

Great picture quality product

The picture on this TV is amazing clear and has a wide varity of setting options to match the room brightness. What I love most about it is the option of streaming media directly from any network connected drive. Also the fast refresh rate really captures attention and shows superiority when watching a fast action movie where small details are often missed if the tv cannot refresh fast enough. I love this TV.

We had been looking at LCD TV's for quite a while for an area with space limitations. We were paying attention to price, but also wanted the best quality, IE. 1080P and 120HZ, along with the largest screen size that would fit the space as some sets we looked at of this size have enclosures that are bigger and would not fit. We came across the 42LH50 at a price that was very attractive but also had the highest quality picture we had seen on a unit that size. It was just icing on the cake when we found out that it also had the video networking capability. We have not got around to setting up our existing in-house networking system to it yet, but do not anticipate any problems as the the TV itself was so easy to set up and the networking instructions are really straight forward. We would highly recommend this LG TV to anyone that is looking for a set this size.

Excellent TV

I knew I was getting a good TV, but didn't realize how GREAT of a TV I was getting until I set up my new 42LH50. There are features of this thing that I have yet to explore, and I'm already happy with what I've found. This is my first LG purchase, and I'm sure there will be more to follow.

Love the 42LH50

I have owned this tv for only a month. It was easy to set up although I would have liked the "full" manual instead of looking at the downloaded version. I have experimented and am satisfied. I really didn't pay to much attention to the small book that came with it as the on screen instructions are quite clear. When watching movies, I do not use the 120 HZ. I change it in the advanced settings. All of the others I use the low setting (set by factory) for the refresh rate except the sports display where I do use the 120 hz. I have not figured out everything yet but will experiment over the next few months. What I like is if I set things incorrectly, each mode has a section to reset picture as it came from the factory.
I really hate sets that have a light on the front that is always on but found that I could turn off the "pretty" little red light on the front (green when unit is on) within the settings. I thought that was great! Love the sound adjustments so the commercials aren't loud like my other tv's!
As a directv user, I was concerned that I could only check 1080i on my HD-DVR but after reading definitions on line, I find out that programming (for now at least) is not in 1080p due to the increased bandwidth that is required.
I certainly have not been disappointed with the black levels that some mention. Maybe I am not as discriminating as some others!
