New Photo Printer

I purchased the Epson Stylus NX 515 photo printer to only print photographs. I set it up to work wirelessly, and it was very easy. I then read the instructions to hook it up to my computer, and they seemed so much more difficult and convoluted, that I decided to keep it wireless. I do not like the resolution on the LCD screen - it is SO grainy. I also do not like that you cannot see the photograph on the LCD screen without all the instructions and measurements on the screen. It would be nice to be able to see what you are actually going to print - like a print preview. I did a comparison of a print of the same photograph on my computer printer and the Epson. I then asked several people which photograph looked better to them. Three out of four people liked the computer printer copy; the fourth person couldn't tell a difference. I was slightly disappointed in that. Even though I have these disappointments, I DO like the Epson printer. It does what it's supposed to do - print photograph. It you want something more professional, get a different printer. This printer is really perfect for me, and I am very glad I bought it.

F515 PRINTER/SCANNER

FIRST OF ALL, THE CD THAT CAME WITH IT SHOWS IT AS AN F510 PRINTER. IT IS A NICE PRINTER.MAKES COPIES VERY FAST, BUT VERY NOISY. WHEN THERE IS A PAPER JAM, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET AT IT, AS THE CARTRIDGE HOLDER IS IN THE WAY AND SO ARE SOME PLASTIC PARTS THAT MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT.. HOWEVER, IT DOES HAVE NICE FEATURES SUCH AS THE SCANNER.

We got this printer for christmas and it works great. The wireless printing is very fast. It has a scanner it works great too every thing is great.

Printer is quick but dissapointed that the printer is extremely noisy when initially feeding paper.

a great all in one printer, easy software installation, the only con I found with this and all Epson printers is why they charge so much for the ink.

ALL IN 1 PRINTER THAT WONT SCAN IF OUT OF INK

Nuf said... it does eat a lot of ink so I decided to use it as a Scanner instead... buuuuuut apparently if you run out of ink you cannot use the scanning features.... a scanner with a requirement to have INK?! Now that's a new one. I guess it really does live up to the "Ink eater" name since even when it doesn't require ink for the function it is supposed to preform it still WANTS ink.

Was great till I changed the black ink cartridge

After I replaced the empty black ink cartridge, it has not printed. I have cleaned the nozzles and followed all instructions for fixes so this printer was good for one round of ink. When the ink runs out the scanner won't work till ink is replaced. I want to return it.
