I've owned this printer for about a month, and am so far please with it. It was easy to set up with my new Mac mini, easy to connect with the existing network in the house, and performs reliably when called upon to print or scan. I am underwhelmed by the print quality on images printed from a memory card, but since I didn't get the machine for that purpose, am not too disappointed. I got it for light, occasional use, and it's perfect for that.

Good Value

The price was right and my experience in the brief time I have had it is that the scanning speed and and the printing speed are pretty good. The scanning application is pretty easy to use. I like the fact that I can replace color cartridges individually, but I was surprised to see that my black cartridge needs to be replaced already. What I didn't like: How long it took to install it and how cheap and flimsy the output tray is.

Fast, but an ink glutton

This printer is extremely fast for an inkjet and comes with a lot of handy features. It looks good on the desk, and I got it running on Ubuntu with a little hunting on Google and the installation of a couple downloaded drivers.
On the other hand, the NX515 seems to use a tremendous amount of ink, particularly if you need to run a cleaning cycle to clear the heads. Worse, Epson has taken planned obsolescence to new heights, with ink cartridges that destroy their own electronics when they get empty, making them impossible to refill and re-use.
Unless you have the courage to try a continuous ink system or another supplier of cartridges, be warned that this will be an expensive machine to run. Don't be fooled by the low price tag; if you print much, you'll pay the difference in ink.

I received this All-n-One for my birthday to assist me during my college term. This machine has come in handy with projects which require high quality photo, graphic and the scanner is awesome. I totally recommend this product to college students because its economical, meaning the ink usage, this machine displays courtesy it tells you how to preserve your ink when its getting low, how sweet is that. I'm so glad I chose Epson it reputation goes way back for me and so I knew I was going to get a great product.

This printer was very easy to set up wirelessly, works flawlessly, prints very quickly, and print quality is excellent. My other Epson printer is still working as well as when new in 1997, so I expect this new printer will show the same longevity.

Highly Recommended Multi-Function Printer

This multi-function printer is a definite purchase especially if you're a college student given its speed, quality, and price. However, the only drawback I've found, as I'm sure you'll also discover when reading other reviews is that the printout tray is VERY flimsy - the 2nd furthest extension broke after only have this multi-function printer for 02 months and I'm not even a heavy user! Other than the printout tray issue, the only other problem I've had with it is the expensive ink cartridges that it requires. Other than the 02 issues I've mentioned, this multi-function printer is rock solid and a recommended buy!

Pleasantly Rewarded

My NX515 Printer came with a combo pack when I bought a laptop. I wanted a printer that was wireless. I have been an HP person for a long time and was hesitant to try another product but I have found it so much better than my HP All-In-One that I have boxed my HP to sell to someone. I am using my Epsom for both my desktop and laptop. The scanning capabilities are awesome. I have been saving some pictures that I wanted to scan into my computer and hadn't been able to scan them with my HP wtihout a lot of problems. The coloring of the pictures and the speed that they scanned into my PC were unbelievable. It's a little noisy when printing docs but at least the file cabinet that it sits on doesn't shake like my other printer. This may not be Epson's high end printer but I don't know what else you would want in a printer that this one can't do.
