We recently bought this on the internet and as a first major purchase via the net we are VERY satisfied. Bought it for watching the Super Bowl and it was a standout.

This was one of the easiest TVs to setup that I have owned. The picture quality is amazing. Just watched Avatar in Blue-ray format and my family remarked that it looked better than in the theater. The contrast ratio gives the picture great depth.
In addition to great picture quality, the unit has been trouble free. I would recommend it based on quality, value, ease of use and reliability.

Plasma Color in an LCD TV

I always wanted a plasma because the colors are typically truer on those sets. However, the room I have the TV in gets a lot of light in the afternoon, and plasmas tend to suffer from glare (from what I've seen). So I got this as a compromise. I'm not disappointed at all--the colors are great on this TV. The blacks are really black owing to the LED backlighting.
My only complaint is that sometimes where there is a ton of motion, you get some ghosting (almost as if the LED array isn't responding fast enough). When that happens, all I do is turn down the backlight and everything copacetic.
It's a great set. It's a shame it's discontinued. I recommend finding a retailer online that still has some in stock and taking the plunge.

This is an excellent HDTV with great sharp images and color. I got it over a year ago and no problems so far, even though it's on several hours each day. My only gripe is that there is no color adjustment for the USB port and it displays images from a flash drive with too much red. Therefore, I don't use this feature.

This is a great tv, with the led backlighting you get very true black levels. TV looks great hanging on my wall and has an excellent picture. The only thing that this tv lacks is the ability to stream things from the internet, such as Netflix. Overall my wife and I are very happy we purchased this tv.
