Purchased this tv about 2 months ago, and I couldn't be more pleased. the picture quality is wonderful as well as the overall quality. with a four year old and two small hyper dogs, I needed a durable tv and i found it!!!!
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

We purchased this TV in Feb 2010- it has a great picture and sound system. We are very happy with it so far. It is an outstanding value for the price and comparible to much more expensive TV's and had a better picture also.
Pros: Quality, Performance, Style/Design

But that's technology, making way for bigger and newer stuff.
This 55lh40 tv is great. The picture is excellent and so far after 8 months, there are no dead pixels that I can find. Settings are what I would expect on a tv of this price range, which is to say good but not too all-inclusive and overwhelming. Reception is with an OTA antenna, plus a blu-ray player. The shiny frame looks good but seriously shows any little amount of dust. When changing channels, it seems a little slow to respond; also tv channel guide info is sometimes lacking despite the OTA digital signal (I also have a digital tv box I compared the menu and use with).
"Only" 4 stars for ease of use because the manual could have been a little better on how to get the best picture for one's environment and which feature locks out other features, instead of just briefly explaining each feature. However, I was able to find more info online about how to have the best picture and it worked better than LG's manual.

Wonderful TV!

I am so happy that we chose this tv. It is perfect in our living room that has three large windows and there is virtually no glare when we have the windows open. It is extremely clear and didn't cost nearly as much as some of the other tv's we looked at. I am very happy!

Best Investment Ever

I am so glad to have purchased an LG TV. This TV is absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I never want to go to the movie theatre again since we have our own theatre at home! The quality, features, performance and design are awesome. This was a great buy.
