My 1st HD... I Made A Good Choice

The picture is great, the sound is quality is also great.
You must use HD equipment (and HDMI cables) to get the best results!
I'm still 'fleshing out' my home theater system, but I've found as long as you use HD products that can take advantage of the 1080p the results are awesome.
The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't seem to 'remember' aspect ratio settings of an input port when switching from one input port to another. It uses the last aspect ratio setting globally, not per input port.
My 9 year old and 6 year old do OK with it, but still need help if it involves switch input ports.
Other than that, it's a great TV!

Beautiful picture, great quality for the time I had it. Sorry to say I don't have it anymore due grandchild throwing a WII remote at it and found out (much to my horror) that it is a throw-away television. Called around to see if it would be fixed and no it couldn't! Would actually cost more to fix than to buy a new one and this one was only 3 months old. Sold it to a repair shop for 1/10th of what I paid and bought a different one. LCD is great, just don't throw a remote at it because then it is garbage. Now have a Plasma screen. Oh well!! :( Still happy with my LG monitors.

Bought the TV in January. TV works great. Wish the stand was a little more sturdy but I like the fact that it swivels. I wish the TV frame border wasn't prone to glare. Other then that it's a beautiful TV at a great value.

This is my first "Big" TV and my first HD. I'm very happy with the quality of the picture. Very crisp and clear. This TV is highly recommended.

I love my LG phone and bought the 55LH40 LCD TV based on good reviews, quality, and specs. Now I love my LG TV! Picture quality and ease of use are excellent. I like the Picture Wizard set up feature - a breeze to calibrate the picture settings! The menus are very intuitive and easy to use. The remote is very well designed, with direct access buttons to the most used menu settings. My only reservation is the sound quality from the built-in speakers, but if audio is important to you then you're going to add on a speaker system to any TV anyway. This is my first LCD TV and I am very happy that I bought an LG product!

have had the tv a couple of months now and couldn't be happier set-up was a breeze and the picture is fantastic cant wait till my cable provider starts to broadcast in 1080p

This is an AMAZING tv I recommend it to anyone looking for a big 55in 1080p high def tv/movie watching experience! Beautiful picture, easy to use menu, plenty of hdmi and other ports. Only one flaw that I found with this tv and that is that there are no audio out ports so I have to hook up surround through the cable box and blu-ray player.

my family and i are very satisfied with our new tv. set was very easy and navigating thru some of the menu options are easy as well. only complaint is when info buton is pushed to see what time it is display is kinda small for the size of tv but other than being picky about that tv's perfect..
