Difficult time replacing metal grease filter!

Had a hard time removing and replacing metal grease filter and charcoal filter just to find the model & serial #! What a problem it would be to clean/replace them!

Lights keep flickering

The hood worked great for a few years the fan still works great but the lights flicker in unison all the time now when we turn the lights on. New bulbs haven't remedied the problem. For an expensive appliance I would expect better quality.

Noisy even on low fan setting

Aesthetically Pleasing - Works Well Too

In deciding which exhaust hood to purchase for my kitchen remodel, I looked at a traditional rectangular unit and this more stylish curved model. This hood is roughly twice the price of the other hood I was considering and the specs were similar. I am very pleased that I picked the PV976NSS. I only plan on buying one hood and the up front cost will be well worth the added cost over the years.
I have used the hood for 6-8 weeks. As expected when it is on the two highest speeds it's noisy, but that should be expected. The lower speeds are not all that loud and similar to other hoods I have used. I had the exhaust routed out the eave of the kitchen wall (as opposed to the roof) over a rear deck. One of the first times we used the hood my wife turned it on high it actually blew leaves off of the deck from about 12 feet above, its that powerful.
My contractor had a few challenges with the installation, not because of the shroud, but because of compound cuts that were needed to match the ceiling. We will end up placing a small piece of trim where the shroud meets the ceiling.
I am very pleased with the PV976NSS and recommend it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stylist and functional hood

Great looking piece for the kitchen doing what it's meant to. Knocked a star off as where we live it is windy and we keep hearing the vent through this. Not really a product flaw but something to consider when you have it installed. Ask the installers to try and minimize the sound of wind.
