We have an open kitchen/living area. My hood was important to keep the smell down. I have had this hood for 3 weeks now and I absolutely love it. It is a little loud when it is up on high, but to me that is expected, as it works hard to suck all of the odor out of my house.
I would recommend this to a friend!
