Hood very beautiful beast, very loud at lowest speed , after 1 year
I used whirlpool cheap hood for 17 yrs and did not see this loud

I am forever GE Appliance user for more than 20 yrs
For new home we purchased this costly beautiful looking hood, turned too loud in one year ,
Hood is very important tool for kitchen , never coooked without hood on in years and I am in situations can stand Loud hood
Not sure how to fix this

Sleek look with lots of power

Love the sleek design and FOUR powerful fans speeds. When I selected this fan, I thought it was too contemporary for my cottage kitchen. I was wrong....it looks great.

Beautiful and functional

This GE hood vent model #PV970SS works very well. The cooktop lights illuminate nicely, their light washing across the stove onto surrounding countertop surfaces. My only complaint (as reflected in the overall rating) is how noisy the fan is when using fan speeds two and higher. The vent effectively draws hot air out of my kitchen. The installation instructions were easy to follow which helped us to successfully install this hood vent in one day.
