good riddance

Mine lasted less than seven years. After sounding like a jet airplane taking off for a couple weeks, it dumped a couple quarts of water during a rinse cycle. It's now about to spend its remaining days at the landfill.

Washes well and has lasted

We've had this washer for 4 years now and it's great! We had to adjust how much laundry we put in the washer because you're not supposed to fill them up. The water level only fills the washer half way so even a large load should not fill the washing machine. As I understand it, that's how all energy efficient washers are.

Agitator keeps popping off during the wash cycle

We've had this machine for 7 years, and have had several issues. The lastest is that the agitator just started popping off during the cycle. I can't see how to reattach it securely. Frustrated with this machine!

Might Be The Worst Washing Machine Ever
on August 17, 2019

I had to give 1 star, because I couldn't give it zero. This is the dumbest/worst washing machine I have ever owned. I've had this junk repaired twice and it still doesn't work. DO NOT BUY.

Washer works great and it's so unbelievably quiet. Best washer we have ever owned. Love the handwash setting it works to wash "handwash only" sport coat perfectly. Was nervous to try the feature at first but it worked like a charm..
Thanks GE

What a mistake

It is a good thing that we bought the extended service agreement. Started having trouble with this machine about a year and a half into its life. Every major part of this machine has been replaced, some more than once. Another major issue is this machine puts white spots on black clothing. Just a warning, this machine is very loud.

During Spin Cycle Sounds Like A Jet Airplane
on February 5, 2021
Posted by: Larry321

During the spin cycle it sounds like a jet airplane landing. There is also some knocking noises as well; but the jet airplane is the biggest sound. I also ran it with no clothes in the washer; just filled it up with water and let it go to the spin cycle. I sounds A LOT better than when it is loaded with clothes, but it still sounds louder than I think it should and there still is the random knocking sound. From the troubleshooting videos it seems to be either: The bearing or the suspension springs. Although I don’t understand how it could be the springs as the knocking sound is still there with no clothes in the washer. I checked the four rubber straps at the top of the washer visually before taking it apart, and I can also fit my hand between the top of the washer and the tub and they are not broken. With the washer off: I spin the tub by hand and it does not sound like I think it should. That is, it seems to not be a uniform sound as I spin the tub; this points me back to the bearing. HOWEVER, I also hear a little knocking sound as well, which I doubt is coming from the bearings. Unless this sounds familiar to someone, my next step is to open it up and take a look to see if I can pin point the knocking. I would prefer not to replace the bearing if it does not need to be replaced. I am wondering if the suspension springs are worn out and are allowing the tub to be lower than it is suppose to be and hitting something. My new wife says the washer has been noisy for a pretty long time, but it sounds like it has gotten worse over time.
