We compared a lot of refrigerators before deciding on this one. I love all the storage space and the ability to get water and ice through the door.The little shelf to place glass or jug on when getting water and push button to dispense water is convenient. The built in water filter is great. No more buying all the bottles of water. The cheese drawer is so big a large pizza box fits in it. The separate drawer in the freezer is easy to store items most frequently used.

Great Fridge!

This product is great, there is a lot of space and it looks great. The only design flaw is the drip dish under the ice/water dispenser slowly builds up with hard water deposits, and since it is plastic... it is very hard to keep clean even with vinegar and water clean up. I've only had it for about a year now and it's already discolored beyond cleaning.

Two years ago, my wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator, Model LFX25975ST/01, serial number 907KRAT01744, with a bottom drawer freezer and french doors on top. Thanks to Hurricane Irene, my wife and I lost electricity from 10:45AM Sunday through 9:30PM Thursday, 5 ½ days. We had taken some precautions with the expectation that we might lose power (we dropped the freezer to -2 and stocked up on ice for our camp cooler), but we did not suppose that it would take that long for N-Star to get us back on-line.
Upon losing power, we moved the essentials to the camp cooler with ice, but left the majority of food in the freezer and the refrigerator, and left the refrigerator and freezer untouched for the duration. When power was restored, we found that the food in the freezer was still frozen solid and the food in the refrigerator compartment was still cold and viable. Even a bowl of ice placed in the refrigerator as a precaution was ice-water on Thursday. We lost a few things from the camp cooler due to water saturation. However, none of the food in the freezer compartment had thawed, and none of the food in the refrigerator was spoiled or had any hint of spoiling. IN the long run, the LG refrigerator saved us considerably because we did not have to replace spoiled groceries or spend time cleaning out for spoiled contents.
Our compliments to LG. A few weeks ago, when our KitchenAid dishwasher went bottom up for the 3rd or 4th time, we felt confident enough in your products to buy our new LDF6920ST dishwasher, of which we are anticipating many years of dependable service.

Ice maker issues

I received the fridge with a house purchase. The ice maker stopped working and I called the help line. The woman that answered went above and beyond to help me. She had me text her pictures when we first could not get to the heart of the problem. She went and asked others in the call center for their advice and we finally got to the reset button. The problem was fixed. She was incredible. I was so appreciative. I have told many people how good she was.

Since we have owned this product we have had problems with the ice maker. Even after an attempted fix. Hard to understand that man has visited the moon more than once and future plans for Mars but LG cannot engineer. design and produce an ice maker that works properly. Disappointing.
