Great at brushing teeth; weak construction

I love the Sonicare toothbrushes, but the model I am using now is somewhat fragile. The part of the handle where the brush head is attached breaks easily. I have already had my recently purchased tooth brush break in that area, and I don't know why that happened. There was no event that occurred that caused it to break; I just picked it up one day to use it and it was broken. So I believe that the design of these newer models needs to be reviewed by the design team, and that aspect of the handle should be strengthened. This is why I gave the design a rating of average. I will continue to use Sonicare toothbrushes, and I will try to figure out how to keep that part of the unit from breaking.
Pros: brushes teeth really well, whitens teeth
Cons: weak construction

Ay first I balked at the price but we have been more than happy with this product. We don't hesitate to tell anyone who will listen about them.
Cons: not so great on the upper back teeth

Late last spring, I decided to upgrade my five year old Sonicare toothbrush. I'm delighted I did. The newer model is a much better design: easier to hold and does not allow residue build up under the brush head base like my previous model. Battery goes weeks without having to be recharged. Highly recommend this model.
Pros: excellent cleaning ability., long battery life.
Cons: expensive brush head replacements

I am 62 years old, and my teeth have NEVER been this clean. I have no earthly idea as to why I would not try this product before. Hand brushing my teeth for 62 years now seems stupid! My teeth shine, and my gums feel and look great!! Thank you Phillips Sonicare for a way Superior Product!

The brush is good for getting to the difficult to reach places. Because of a dry mouth at night this product was recommended by my dentist to gently clean along the gum line and this brush is good at that. The brush heads are a little stubborn to attach and detach but that is minor and may be for good reason. It is a little difficult to replace the brush head in the UV compartment correctly and I have no idea how effectively that is in its antibacterial role and I did not see anything in the literature mentioning that. I also wonder as the designated location on the bristles themselves lightens to indicate wear whether it was actually caused by wear or by bleaching agents in the toothpaste.
Pros: reach difficult locations, selection of brush heads
Cons: vibration when hard plastic touches teeth, price of replacement brushes
