Step forward in performance, a bit back in user friendliness

I like the new hydraclean feature and overall performance is excellent. Only nit is that the old model let you set and confirm the mode before you press start; the new one, each time you press start button it changes modes, so you can't easily see the mode you are in while it is in your mouth running. New one may work better, but feels less solid. Based on how long the prior one lasted, it will probably be fine.
Pros: performance
Cons: ease of confirming selected brush cycle

Great functions, weird indicators

This toothbrush is the best sonicare I've owned. It holds a charge for several weeks, and is quite ergonomic as well. My only complaint is that the indicator lights seem about 20 years out of date. I have to guess when it's charged, as the indicator turns solid green when there's about 60% charge, but there's no way to tell when it's topped up.
Pros: holds a charge well
Cons: no way to tell when it's fully charged

It took some getting used to because it made my mouth tingle as I was brushing my teeth. My family agreed that it did the same for them. Once you get accustomed to the feel, it has been amazing in the degree of cleanliness of my teeth and mouth. My dental cleaning had lasted much longer because of using this electric toothbrush. It has removed the stain on my son's teeth and kept it off between dental cleanings. We love it!

Glad I switched from my regular toothbrush to Philips

My recent visit to my dentist proves that your product does great at removing plaque from my teeth. I did not have to spend much time in the chair - hardly any buildup of plaque. I also notice that my teetch do not become stained (from drinking tea) as the product does a much better job at cleaning/polishing.

Right out of the box charging was a snap. Just stand it on the base - effortless brushing at hyper speed. Had used another brand for years but there's no comparison between the two. This is definitely professional and the way to go. Spend the extra money you won't be disappointed!!!

I find the brushes do not last me for three months. Don't know if I brush too hard or not, but I need to change the brush heads after about 60 days of using this product two times per day. Had my teeth cleaned after 5 months of use and had considerably less build up of plaque than the previous 6 month period.
Pros: easy to use, mouth feels clean
Cons: short life of brush heads
