A dental hygenist recommended this tooth brush for me, an 82 year old who has had receeding gum line. This brush really cleans even with a light touch. Sonic has to do with sound waves. I don't think sound waves do the cleaning, it is the very rapid back and forth movement of the brush head that does the work. I recommend flossing and using this brush. The recommendation is to change brush heads with the seasons. It would seem this rechargable should come with a years supply of 4 brush heads instead of just 2. Half a year before I need to buy new brushes doesnn't make me happy but I could be dead before that.

This is a great electric toothbrush. Just wish it came with at least (1) refill for the brush head. When it was time to order brush head replacements, the website went down for a re-do.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: no replacement brush head included

This is an excellent product. I purchased this model since I needed a rechargeable toothbrush that I could take abroad. I was very pleased with its performance and ease of use. The only minor draw back was that it didn't come with a travel case like the less expensive model.
Pros: light weight
Cons: needs a travel case included

Overall Good, but both units stopped working after 1 year

Products are excellent, but for some reason both units stopped working. One stopped vibrating strong enough, the other spontaneously turned on in, which is annoying in the middle of the night.
The great news is that Philips sent two replacements since its an awesome two year warranty, no questions asked! That is awesome.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product is perfect in every way. I can't extol it's features enough. I would buy the exact same model next time. I can never return to not using this product to care for my teeth.

The extra time for the whitening seems like a useless feature, the first 2 minutes is plenty of cleaning time.

I bought the Sonicare Healthy White as a replacement for my original Sonicare Elite as it finally wore out after many years of use. It would be nice if it had a larger full size brush and be just a tad stiffer. It seems softer than the brush head on the Elite. It is a little quieter, though. It is easy to use and cleans very well.
Overall, I am very pleased with my new Healthy White.
