I still like it despite the few cons.

I could not determine whether or not the whitening function produced any additional whitening effect. If it did, the difference for me was not dramatic. But then, I didn't choose this model for its advertized whitening feature.
My brush head life (as measured by the blue-changing-to-white bristles) has been about half of what is predicted. Considering the price difference between these and manual brushes, I'd like to see them last longer.

The brush is much easier to keep clean and works beautifully. It holds a charge for almost 2 weeks.

My husband and I like the sonic toothbrush so much, we bought one for each of our daughters for Christmas. Our dental hygienist noticed a difference in the reduction of plaque on our teeth also. We have recommended it to many of our friends.

Have not noticed a change in color of teeth!
