Love my sonicare

I've been using a sonicare in some form since about 1995 and I can not even begin to use a normal tooth brush. I absolutely love them.

design flaw with on/off switch after some usage

overall the product is cool, does a good job and so on ,..but the on
off switch separates from the body after about 3-6 months and then quits working...there has to be some way to secure this piece.

This was a gift. I found it easy to use and maintain. The battery lasts quite a long time. Since using the Sonicare my gums have also improved. They are not so sensitive. My dentist was pleased I was using it. I just wish, for the expensive price of the replacement brush heads, that they would hold up better and last longer.
Pros: ease of use., built in timer is great.
Cons: the brushes don't last long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing product

I've been using Philips brand electric toothbrushes for 14 years and they have paid for themselves many times over with a cavity free mouth. I have very "soft/weak" teeth according to my dentist and when I was a teenager I was constantly getting fillings. One summer I had over 10 teeth that needed to be filled...which was not how an 8th grader wanted to spend his summer. At that point my dentist more or less forced my parents to spend the extra money on a Sonicare toothbrush. Here we are 14 years later and I've only had one cavity since.
The products: I've had 4 different models over the years and they have all had similar performance. The reason why they lose a star on performance and design is due to: 1. Every version I have had has had spots of "buildup" that I have had to pay attention to. Yes, I am very OCD about particular things but the E-series always built a lot of "gunk" up under the head. Generally under the "black" bars that create the magnetic#?# contact with the motor unit to create the pulsating movement. 2. The heads appear to be too "Soft" to me. Maybe there is no need but I would prefer a stiffer bristle. I am sure your engineers have created them for the best performance with a hint of an obsolescence factor. Thanks again and continue to provide the amazing products that you do.

Pros: great battery life, amazing battery life-span (3 years +), price-point is reasonable
Cons: price doesn't directly relate to performance, a replaceable battery would be great, smaller compact case for travel

This really works

My Dental Hygenist recommended this product. She uses it a definite plus. My daughter's hygenist usees it too. It is the best way to be sure you brush for 2 full minutes and cover every quadrant of your teeth. It seems forever but my teeth feel wonderful after the full two minutes. We needed a repair of our charger unit and it was replaced quickly and without problem.
Pros: gets the teeth clean
Cons: sometimes difficult to get into the sanitizer

I love the Phillips sonic toothbursh. My teeth feel so clean when I am done brushing them. I even went out and bought extra brushes for my 3 grandsons so they can use it when they come to my house.
