The washer is ok.. Nice options. lLike the size of the tub. Not happy with the quality of the washing. My top load washer cleaned stains that this washer leaves behind. You must pre-treat spots if you want them to come out. That was not nessesary with my old washer.. It may be that all front load washer that use less water are all like that. I would reconsider my next purchase. We did not spend alot of money on this washer because we are planning on selling our house shortly and will leave this one behind.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Purchase Ever!

This Washer FAR exceeds the expectations of my wife and myself, we concidered other brands, but LG has the best warrenty in the industry. This washer is also unbelievably quiet. We are extremly satisfied with our purchase.

WOW!! Great Results

Our top load washer bit the dust and I had been considering a front load washer so I purchased this model because of the features and 10 yr motor warranty. I am amazed at the huge load of towels this machine is capable of washing and is very quiet except when filling with water. The wash times are average but with the very first load we noticed that stains that normally had to previously be pre-treated came clean without doing anything with this machine. My wife loves how clean and fresh they come out and it uses so little detergent it's hard to believe they could come out so clean. Water and electricity savings are to be expected as the machine spins the laundry so much drier than any other machine we've owned in the past. I wish I had bought one sooner!! We also bought the matching dryer along with the pedestals and couldn't be happier with our purchase. Our old clothes seem to be renewed with these machines.

I find that no matter what I do, the washer seems to shake to much on the spin cycle. I also notice an odor coming from the washer even after leaving it open to dry after each cycle. Spots on my dark shirts. Was told maybe I needed too clean the bleech container after use?? Don't have to in top loaders!No very happy with this purchase. Waited a long time to buy!

Improved My Life

I do a lot of online reviewing before purchasing and this washer is everything I read and more! I have never had my laundry come out so clean! I do use the extra cycle on really dirty stuff, but with less water it comes out much cleaner than my previous washers. I now have 4 extra people sharing my home until theirs sells. Because of it using less water, we can have it running and all take showers without depleting the hot water! The longer cycles are easy to adjust to for this trade-off. I am still drying the rubber ring and leaving the door open after wash cycles to keep mildew from growing like other reviewers online said it could in frontloaders.
Maybe LG can come up with a solution for that issue. It is still the best washer I have ever owned!

Bought this alongside the matching dryer. Both units are fantastic. Quiet...clothes are super clean...WAY less water used, very easy to use (my 2 year old has figured out how to start it), etc. Went with the LG based on Consumer Reports "Brand Reliability" ratings. So far, so good.

Love it, Did a lot of research and this was rated so high and it lives up to it's rating. Easy to use and does a great job, however the wash times are very long.

I love this washer. It is easy to use. Gets out stains. With the bigger tub it holds twice as much as my old and does it in less time. I will tell all my friends about it.
