Fantastic Machine

I LOVE my new washer-it gets the clothes sooo clean. The spin cycle leaves the clothes so dry that it takes very little time in the dryer. I know we will save a great deal on water and gas!
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design
Cons: difficult to see inside as clothes stick to top

Our First Front Loader: We Will Never Go Back

The WM2101HW is the first front loader we have ever bought. We will never go back to a top loader. Installation was a snap and we got the stack kit. Having the washer/dryer stacked frees up much of our utility room giving us more space to work with, a benefit since our house lacks closets. The washer operation is very easy. I can honestly say I don't know how to use all the controls but I have not found it necessary. The blue on/off buttons and pause/play buttons are definite winners. My only regret: not buying LG earlier. We replaced our refrigerator, range, microwave, and dishwasher with another brand earlier this year. We are now 'sold' on LG and will buy nothing else in the future.

Great, Quiet, Efficient Washer

The 2101 is absolutely great. Cleans well, and is very quiet.
The operational sequence of adding water, turning the drum, stopping, adding water, etc is a bit disconcerting at first. But it seems like the machine is running just fine. Would be good if the manuals were to explain the activation/sequencing steps for washing, rinsing, spinning better.

My wife and I bought this washer a few months ago and I absolutely love it! It's so quiet when it runs and it's very easy to use. I would definitely recommend this washer to anyone.

This machine is fantastic. I researched machines for over a year before we even started shopping, because ours was slowly dying - it gave me plenty of time to thoroughly find out everything I wanted to know. I already had the LG dryer, and I loved it, so I thought for sure I would likely love the LG washer. I have not been disappointed. It is so quiet!!! What a nice feature! I love the ergonomic design, as well. The only major con I have to complain about, and the reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is something I consider to be a relative issue. (I meant to say it that way.) The liquid bleach tray and liquid detergent tray hold water after the load has run. I cannot get them to drain, no matter what I try. My husband and I have both tried multiple ways to get it to drain, and it is just standing water. Occasionally, it affects the softener tray as well. For me, that is an issue. I don't know if it is supposed to be that way, if it is normal for it to be like that, or what, but I take issue with it. I wish there was some way to fix it. Aside from that small takaway, I absolutely love the washer and am completely satisfied.

Cons: bleach & liquid detergent trays hold standing h2o

Very Unhappy

I am currently waiting while a repair man orders parts for my 4 year old washer. This is the second time I have had major repair work on this washer. The first was within the first year and a pump was replaced. This time, the entire inside workings of the machine will be replaced. The parts are covered by manufacturers warranty, so I am not out money, besides the original extended warranty I took out when I bought the appliance. Thank goodness I did that. However, I will be out of the use of my washer for more than a week, which is very difficult for me and my family considering I do laundry every single day.
I am extremely disappointed that LG makes a product that is not more reliable than this. I have always heralded the LG brand as one of quality.
I have also had many instances of mildew smells and leaking water.
When it is time for a replacement, I will chalk this purchase up to a lesson learned and go back to the more reliable washer and dryers of my past.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Washer made me a Solid LG Fan

I read all I can about any big purchase I consider.Everything I could read from consumers who own or owned this washer, had raving reviews about this washer. And I purchased one. And have not regretted it since we bought it almost 4 months ago. This washer has made me a fan of LG!

Auto balance system is terrible.

We have had this machine for several years and it has shaken the whole room since it was new. The service person said that the floor needed support (it is a manufactured home), so I put bracing under the floor. It did not improve. The next thing they suggested was to put rubber pads under it. Still no improvement. It shakes so bad that it shakes the dryer next to it and anything on top of the dryer. Anything left on top of the washer would end up on the floor behind it. I will certainly never buy another LG product.
Pros: appearance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
