I LOVE IT!!

The machine is very easy to use AND it sings! Other machines make the VERY annoying beeping noise when the clothes are finished but this has a little tune that it plays at the end of every load. It makes washing and drying clothes a fun task.
The washer spins the load of laundry first to determine the length of the cycle before beginning. I have noticed that most loads are about 50-55 minutes. The clothes are hardly wet when I pull them out which is great for things that can't be dried by the dryer such as pants or sweaters. I have my washer and dryer stacked because my laundry room was not going to be large enough. We thought we might even have to move the dryer door but the doors open almost 180 degrees so it isn't even a problem. I was instructed by the delivery men to always clean the inside rubber to prevent mildew smells. My house is on pier and beam and I was afraid with the machines stacked that the spin cycle would cause a lot of problems; however, it only shakes a little at first and you can't even feel it. It just makes the dryer wiggle a little.
I absolutely love my washer and dryer!

First front-loader

This is my first experience with a front-loading machine and it has exceeded all my expectations. It is beautiful to look at and it makes doing laudry a pleasant experience. The controls are easy to use and understand. Laudry comes out clean and nearly dry, so that helps shorten the time in the dryer = energy savings. My son had a grey sweatshirt that had a large, red punch stain. It had been in the laudry bag at college for a while, so you know the stain was set. I thought I'd give it a try, so I pretreated the stain and threw it in with a load. It came out like brand-new. That sold me right there. Love it! Just remember, the wash time is longer in a front load, but the results are worth it.

After doing my usual comparison shopping, we decided on LG for a new washer as well as a new matching dryer. Our previous washer was 27 years old and needed replacement. In my opinion, the LG washer stood out among the other brands we considered. I like everything about it--the front loading style and capacity of this model work very well for me as well as the layout and design of the control panel. I like having lots of options on how the laundry items are washed plus it does a thorough job of cleaning the laundry. I was especially impressed with the "handwash" cycle results. We have had this washer for about a month; and, so far, I can only say good things about it. It may sound crazy, but now I really look forward to "laundry day." I am happy with our decision to buy LG.

can't say enough good things about this washer! it's quite, it cleans better then any washer i've ever used and it's beautiful to boot. my teenage son always overloaded our old washer and his clothes never really got clean, the first time he used this washer (of course he loaded it as full as he could) he even noticed how much cleaner his clothes were and i doubt that he's gonna be able to overload it, win win!! love it ♥

Washer whistles when water goes in. Also, extreme vibration on spin cycles. Could not wash 2 bedpillows without it overheating;had to remove wet pillows and wring them out manually. Took forever to get them dry. Was told you could wash up to queen size comforter in this machine. Not so. Worked fine in old toploader.
Pros: Style/Design
Cons: Features/Settings, Difficult to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Uses way less water than my old washer. Clothes come out cleaner. And just sitting back watching the savings. Can't say anything negative about this front loader. Other than amazed.
