So I was reading my tablet while walking down a dark hallway at home. Got tangled up in the dog laying in said dark hallway and fell with tablet in hand. The tablet in its case landed flat on the floor. The cover and tablet were perfect, my knee was not.
I would highly recommend the Defender cover for your tablet and not walking in dark hallways while reading your tablet.

The only thing I'd add is as you put a cover over the charger plug in a cover would be a nice edition to the S Pen insertion. When the device is dropped the pen pops out. Same with the cell case.

This is the third Otter Box case that I have bought, all three have worked to keep my items save. I use the Droid x2, and Samsung Gax tab 7, and Gax tab Note 8. Wont buy anything else. Did not use the items till I got the cases. Cheap insurance for expensive items.

As usual, this Otterbox case is a hit. The protection it affords is excellent while still allowing full functional use. My only complaints are that it's a bit heavy and bulky, but that's a reasonable trade off for the level of protection offered.
It would be nice if the kickstand feature was a bit more secure and could be used with the tablet oriented vertically.

Cons: weight/bulk, instability/horizontal only kickstand

When I first received it, I was confident that it is one of the best protection for my Samsung Galaxy Note. This is based on the materials used to protect the fragile tablet. I dropped once and was glad that it survived from waist height. The stand design is very fantastic. It allow me to read book and play games at my comfort. The design also provide a good gripping edge for me to hold it in my hand. It is only a hassle for me to take photo as it come in two pieces (Body and cover). I have to hold the cover in one hand and the other hand trying to take a photo with my tablet. Overall, it is the best purchase made for my tablet.
