ice maker is horrible

i love the look, the size, and the features of my be refrigerator but the ice maker ices up so bad that we can never get ice out of the door, we have to reach our hand in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the look of this model! It has a flat front -(not bowed or rounded out) which I needed since I have a really small kitchen. The design is simple and practical. Everything is easy to reach.

The product has many built in and well thought out features that make it very convienient for the entire family to use. Shelves slide out 50% to allow for easier retreival and viewing of articles on the shelfs. The door shelves easyily hold a gallon of milk again for easy access. Freezer and refrige space is more than adequate for a healthy supply of food.

I replaced my 30 yr. old fridge with this model and haven't looked back since. I love that this refrigerator is ultra quiet. It has a unique locking system that prevents young kids from emptying the ice out of the fridge. It also a ton of shelf space!! I absolutely love the temp control panel. Its positioned at the top again, so that small ones don't fidget with it. Tons of innovative re-inventive perks. Overall I love my new refrigerator!!!!!! Keep up the good work Whirlpool!!

After looking at 15 or 20 different models and brands, we chose this Whirlpool product. It looks great; it has a huge storage capacity; it fits our lifestyle perfectly. Cleaning this refrigerator is very easy. The only drawback is the noise that the icemaker makes. Sometimes we think someone is knocking on the door. We have become accustomed to this noise, however, and don't notice it so much now.

The unit works well but the freezer section is poorly laid out with the large ice bin taking up a good deal of space. The door controls for water and ice are basic

Super nice, roomy, lots of storage areas

This is a great fridge for the price. The ice dispenser is very loud and a bit slow, but the inside has lots of bins shelves and drawers to accomodate a variety of needs. The doors don't close automatically like most fridges, so you have to remember to close it before walking away. The stainless look is great, it's my first side by side.
I would recommend this to a friend!
