I just remodeled my kitchen and replaced all my appliances. I have been getting the best compliments regarding the uniformity of how it all looks good together. All stainless steel whirlpool Fridge microwave oven and dishwasher.

Making a lot of noise very often, is this normal?

I JUST purchased this item based on the overall Whirlpool quality and reliability..... I've only had it a few days, but so far I'm getting very concerned about the noises it is making on a frequent and regular basis.It almost sounds like there is a 'leak' of air and/or water a lot of the time and I have checked the connections and there is no water leaking anywhere.The ice maker sounds like a construction zone.....We replaced a fridge that was 10 years older, with all the same features, and this thing makes several times more noise that the older unit.Is this normal or is there a problem?

Had it for about a year and one of the door shelves broke. They seem very flimsy. All of the bulbs (inside and out) burned out within a few months. It constantly needs defrosting because the vent from the freezer side freezes over and blocks airflow to the fridge. I've lost all of my food at least twice already.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought my frig approximately 2008 - single person not abusive - had the ice maker repaired - now the tubing pop holes constantly so I get to use ice cube trays - sometimes have issues with low temperature in frig but bounces back to OK temp - would not recommend it and would not buy a Whirlpool - would like toknow what "brands" are made by Whirlpool - will say the inside i.e. shelves etc have not broken - in great shape - if only the freezer and frig worked well -
