This is really the 1st high quality display I have yet purchased and I am really happy. I use this mainly on my Mac (Mac Mini and MacBook Pro) but also switch between a Widows XP Pro system. Display quality is excellent. Having the widescreen really helps with digital video production and composting.
In fact, I am thinking of purchasing the same model to get an extended desktop configuration for even more space.
LG is known for great imaging products and phones so I would definitely recommended this display.
I bought this monitor originally becuase of the great price. Now that I have had it for several months I am going to buy another no matter what the price. The features are countless. The only difficult part is navigating through the menus but I even picked that up after a couple a tries. BUY NOW!!!! GREAT QUALITY!!! GREAT PRICE!!!
Great choice, we love the color and the style of the monitor. Performs better than the one we thought we wanted.
Pros: Quality, easy to use, Style/Design
Cons: Value
I would recommend this to a friend!

It took a while to determine how to turn on the monitor. Instructions are not clear, it was a weekend and there was no support. But now I find it extremely easy to turn on and off. I love the large screen, but the sharpness of the picture does not begin to compare with my laptop. I sometimes get a message that I should change the resolution to 800 x 600, which I do NOT do.
Pros: Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design
Cons: Features/Settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

setup more difficult than it should have been. Brightness is good, reason for upgrade. Difficult to get system to adjust to pictures of different ratios, i.e. 4x3 vs 16x9
Pros: Quality, Performance, Style/Design
Cons: Features/Settings, Difficult to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall, pretty good, but....

Pros: Price and value quite good. Hooked up easily. Display is crisp and very good resolution, which is what I consider most important.
Cons: Instructions and procedure for adjusting and fine tuning are clumsy. The feature that I wanted most, ability to change screen magnification is not what I expected. I was hoping for a simple pair of Zoom In-Zoom Out buttons at the bottom of the screen, but that's not the way it works. Its not even easy to describe it --suffice to say that its clumsy and VERY limited in what it will do, and when it does magnify, it magnifies horizontally only, resulting in distortion.
Pros: Quality, Performance, Style/Design
Cons: Features/Settings, Difficult to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Monitor

This is a great monitor. I have had it for several months now and had no problems at all. Like my other LG monitor, a Flatron L1720P that I had for several years and still works perfectly. The picture quality is excellent, as a computer monitor, also for viewing pictures and videos. What I don't like is the placement of the controls on the side. They should be on the front where are more easily accessed. Also the power control is buy touch, and many times I touch it while reaching for something close to it and it turns off, it is very annoying. The style I like my other Flatron better, but this one is not bad. Overall am I very satisfied and would definitely by another LG monitor when the time comes.
