I purchased this monitor because my eyesight is becoming an issue for me. I find it easy to see and very clear.
I also found it easy to install and start up (I use a Mac).

Excellent monitor with more than enough real estate to have full portrait 8-1/2"x11" pages in WYSIWYG. Color and response time are also excellent.
Pros: Performance, Quality

Ecstatic with my first LCD monitor.!

This being my first LCD monitor I did a lot of research. LG monitors had excelent ratings from other consumers so never having any experience with any LG product I took a chance. Too say the least I am most happy I did! I decided on the W2361V-PF mainly for size and the HD 1080p support because I also use my monitor to watch NetFlix and Hulu. It has functioned flawlessly. It provides inputs for VGA, DVI-D and HDMI cables which is great and the touch on-off bar along the bottom adds a nice high tech appeal for me. The colors are intense and true and I have no problem watching with every light on and every window in my room open. I have had my W2361 well over a year now and use it every day and so far I have nothing negitive to report with performance or quality. The frame and stand still have that nice almost "piano black" shine and have only had regular cleaning to keep them that way even the LG logo is still sharp and clear and doesn't show signs of wearing off. As you can see I have given it a 5 star rating across the board with the exception of "Ease of use", let me explain. If I were to make one change to the monitor it would be to make the program buttons labeling on the side with the same silver coloring as the logo and maybe even change the black buttons to a metalic silver. As it stands now it is very difficult to see the individual program buttons and to keep them seperate while setting levels. However, given the fact that you usually just set those levels once and the rest of the W2361 is so good I almost feel it is petty of me to complain over something so minor. Buy this monitor you will NOT regret your decision!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Quality, value for your $$, great for movies

On the minus side, Backlight uniformity is poor, too bright at the bottom, too dark at the top, making color uniformity very bad. Power save mode doesn't work with analog signal and sometimes the monitor stays OFF when waking up the computer after sleep mode. The monitor base is a joke. Finally, the buttons on the side of the monitor is a very very bad idea, I have to check everytime if I press the right button. On the plus side, the power switch is nice, the text is sharp. A bit disappointed!
Cons: Features/Settings, Difficult to use

Great monitor for a good price.

Very nice monitor for the price being asked. As it was refurbished I expected there to be some physical flaws but was pleased to find none on opening the packaging. Setup was pretty much just plug and play to get the display visible. I did have to do a driver update in order to have Windows recognize the monitor by name and model number.
The colors are excellent, bright and clear. The wide viewing angles make up for the lack of vertical height adjustment or swiveling capability. The Auto Bright sensor does a good job of adjusting the display brightness to match ambient lighting. The fast response time allows for smooth motion when watching videos or gaming. The recommended screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 is perhaps a bit small for some when viewing text but definitely makes for great viewing otherwise. Other settings seem a little fuzzy around the edges but that may just be my tired old eyes.
Onscreen display adjustments give the user a lot of options. The Menu button gets you the usual brightness, position etc controls. The FUN button get you to onscreen controls where you can switch between 16:9 and 4:3 format, cinema mode (for better video viewing within a web page) and more. The only thing I could possibly fault this monitor on is the placement of the buttons. They are located on the lower right side of the bezel. While this does make for a nice clean front view it takes a little getting used to in order to locate the controls without looking at them. All things considered this is an excellent widescreen monitor for the asking price.

This monitor simply plugged in with no installation required. Sharpness is unbelievable. I use this monitor daily at full 1920 x 1080 resolution. I work as a home-based software developer and can use multiple remote desktop sessions to be fully productive.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

I've always been a big fan of LG products. My first cell phone was LG as was my last monitor. I was impressed with the video quality but disappointed that it did not have a swivel feature.
When I save enough to purchase an LCD television set, that will also be LG.
