I love the wireless streaming, especially netflix. This machine does it effortlessly and it was very easy to set up.
It does everything I wanted a BD player to do and everything LG said it would. The BD-390 is a great value.

Only one negative: I had to contact Customer Support for initial setup because player would not stay connected to my wireless network. Customer Support gave me the necessary DNS Server information to use for setup. If this information had been in the instruction manual the unit would have been running within 10 minutes instead of 3 days.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design
Cons: Difficult to use

Excellent Player Loaded with Useful Features

I have been thoroughly inpressed with this player since it arrived. All of the functions are intuitive to use...no need to read the manual! It has excellent picture quality with Blu-Ray disks but the other features such as Netflix Streaming, You-Tube and home media streaming make this player ideal for me. No more fiddling around trying to hook a laptop to my TV and AV system. This does everything I want. If LG could add Pandora then the feature set would be complete.

i was about to make a pretty big investment to wirelessly connect my pc & tv. i also needed to update my aging pioneer dvd player. while doing some shopping online, i found the lg bd390 & solved both of my problems with one relatively inexpensive purchase!
at first, i was leery because of some quality issues i have had with non-electronic lg products. after reading some other reviews, i decided to buy the bd390 and i am so happy i did. the quality of my unit is excellent. setup on an existing wireless network took less than 10 minutes out of the box. this thing is loaded with bells & whistles & they all work perfectly. i mainly just stream movies from my pc & watch DVDs. the only con i have with my setup is that i often have to reset my wireless connection to initially connect to my pc. after i reset it, i'm good to go until i restart my pc.
overall, i would HIGHLY recommend this product. the pros for this unit outweigh the cons 100X. i am even considering getting a second bd390 for my home.

Great but...

It's a great player, but...
Image quality is good as is the audio, many feaures and opteions are great.
But i also miss a few:
- Playback from ISO images including menu/audiotrack selection/subtitle selection from network share
- Support MKV/MP$ with subtitle selection when streaming from network shares
- Sometimes with P1040 movies streaming across 100Mb network the images is breaking up (file size of 6-10 Gb.

BD-390 Review

I went through a number of BD players from another manufacturer and had nothing but problems - BD discs that wouldn't play, firmware upgrades that destroyed the player, bad units out of the box, etc.
Read some reviews of the BD 390, and decided this was the player for me. My local retailer allowed me to exchange my 4th bad unit (from another manufacturer) for the BD-390 and I've had absolutely great performance since bringing the unit home. Plays every BD I purchase, and the Netflix and VUDU streaming are awesome. Very satisfied customer!

I have had this LG BD390 for over a month now and I could not be happier. Set up was a breeze, esp. for the netflix & you tube. I realy like the wireless part, makes it so easy! I have 4 yr old DLP and it makes the picture look fantastic, even the standard DVD formats look great! If you read the reviews most all give it 4 or 5 stars ( 5 stars for me), the added features anlong with the picture you cant go wrong! I have noticed in most reviews that many have not said much about the sound, or at least commented on it. Take it from me... it produces a fantastic sound. I have a 7.1 set up (Onkyo), it makes the experiance even that much better with the audio the BD390 gives. Over all... I have become a big fan of LG now.
