wireless problems

Picture quality and ease of use is good. Plays all discs fine. Getting a wireless connection is a real problem. Othet products in house(laptops,Wii )work fine but 90% of the time cannot get connection with bd390. It recognizes the wireless is available but will not connect. Very frustrating and probably will go to different brand next time.
Pros: Style/Design, good picture and sound
Cons: Difficult to use, Features/Settings, wireless problems
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plays back DVDs and BluRay discs flawlessly, plus online access to Youtube and Netflix.

Perfect Blu Ray Player

About 1 year after buying my HDTV I decided to upgrade my DVD player. I researched blu ray players for a couple months and decided on the LG BD 390 because of its wireless connectivity and streaming Netflix. The picture and sound quality from the blu ray discs is amazing enough that my wife asked if I bought new speakers too. The wireless connectivity works very well and self adjusts for network quality. I will definitely buy another LG blu ray player.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Good Multi Use Device

I bought this in the Fall of 2009 in anticipation of the release of the Lost Season 5 Blu Ray set - needed access to BD-Live for some of the special features. It has delivered on everything I'd chosen it for, including home networking, YouTube and NetFlix Streaming. Only downside is the rather quick discontinuation of the model - no more firmware updates, which would mean I'll never get the Picasa and Accuweather services. Good box that I'll enjoy for a long time to come, but continued support would have been nice.

Cons: discontinued

This is one excellent product. The Blu-Ray player performs very well; it's user-friendly setup is a cinch; and, it provides supurb video output to my LG 47LH40 HDTV.

Being able to download videostreams from Netflix is a marvel. That part is easy to set up and it's fun to use.
On this player, most blu-ray disks play with a non-lifelike visual quality, like there is a thin black line around every small block of color.
Overall a decent product. However, the product could be improved if it had a few enhancements like a time-of-day display and clearer instructions on how to choose the best resolution settings. The device turns itself off after only a brief period of non-use, unless it is in the middle of playing a movie.
Not bad, but not great.
Cons: Features/Settings, unrealistic picture quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
