great blu-ray player

Love the features, very easy to use netlfix and vudu. Would love to see this product get new applications or features that newer models may get in the future though.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: doesn't seem like newer applications will come

Good Blu-Ray Player

Easy to use from a layout perspective. However, sometime I had issues with the menu on the disc. It was difficult to get to the disc menu.
At times, it took a long time to play some special features.
I liked the wireless. Youtube and Netflix was also nice to have. Unfortunatly, it did not have Pandora, unlike other Blu-ray players.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings

This product exceeded my intentions... I have a home network and watch movies from a computer in another room and this blueray player was very easy to set up and network. I have recommended this product to many people and will still do so.

The LG BD 390 BLU-RAY DISC PLAYER was very easy to set up. It went on line immediately and presented us with a variety of options. We have not yet learned all its features, but the ones we use are very nice. Love the instant netflix! Now we want to try vudu and cinemanow. This has revolutionized our entertainment options!

Blu-ray Player that does it all

Purchased the LG BD-390 6 months ago and have been very pleased with its performance and features. The easy access to Netflix and Vudu have been this player very functional. The playback of both Blu-ray and DVD formats have been flawless with none of the quality issues referred to in other reviews. The remote control is somewhat low end for this type of player but I primarily use my universal remote with my home theater system so the remote is not a major negative. Based on this purchase, my first LG product, I would definitely consider LG for future electronics needs,

BD390 Does it all

Nice machine - bought it for the additional internet and network streaming capabilities and these work great (with one small exception I'll detail)
A. Blu-Ray discs play - as expected - wonderfully. High quality audio encoding is properly passed to my receiver and 1080p video is superb!
My primary reason for getting it was for the network capabilities, which I divide into two separate categories, Internet and Home Network.
B. First - internet capabilities. Outstanding! The ability to stream YouTube and Netfilx are phenomenal! There are downsides:
(1) EXTREMELY slow to load up Netflix, although once loaded, it's a superb feature;
(2) YouTube searches are awkward, and the ability to type is hampered. Should have the ability to type like on a mobile phone keypad;
(3) I don't use Pandora or CinemaNow or Vudu so I cannot comment on them;
(4) MAJOR SHORTCOMING! It desperately needs the capability to access other streaming websites, like network sites and Hulu. This is the singer most desperately-needed upgrade!

C. Home Network - I have a lot of media on my home server and this player accesses almost all forms of media flawlessly! For me, this is the greatest benefit of this machine. Any shared folder on any computer on your home network is easily and intuitively accessible. Music, photos, videos, you name it, this player will stream it to your AV system. The only negative I would note is that one cannot advance or rewind to a specific time mark. One has to use FF or Rew.
Overall, I'm very happy with this machine.

Cons: lacks hulu (and other streaming sites) access
