I love showing Youtube videos through this player! Despite a somewhat complex internet gateway setup, this device works like a charm. I am pleased by its fast response and rich features set. I was a little shocked to learn that the product had been discontinued so soon after purchase...
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings
Cons: Difficult to use

Great BluRay player

I love this blu-ray player. It has a great feature set and the wireless works really well. I love being able to stream movies and music from my computer to my home theater. The only thing I am disappointed with is the lack of Pandora. All their new players now have it and when I bought mine (only about 6 months ago) none had Pandora. I am hoping for a firmware update soon to get this added. Other than that, a great player.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, wireless, netflix
Cons: no pandora

Great Video quality with numerous extra online features. However, this BD player has a problem with frequent audio drop outs that last for 1 to 2 seconds. It will occasionally lose audio sync with the video. The BD movies play flawlessly on two other BD players I own. A search on the web brings up the same issue with others that own this model. I am hoping that LG addresses the problem in a (near) future firmware update.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
Cons: frequent audio drop outs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent machine with only one flaw

This product hits all the highs--loaded with features and latest streaming, great quality video and audio, WiFi enabled. The only gripe is the eject control. The open/eject button feels "cheap," like it's unsure whether it wants to work or could stop working after a while. A related gripe is that the load tray is not forgiving. You need to be extra careful that the disc is perfectly placed in the tray. I made the mistake of closing when a disk was slightly misaligned, and the tray jammed, trapping the disk half-way out. I expected the tray to automatically reopen when it encountered resistence, but it didn't. I had to physically wrench the disk out, scratching it in the process.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: needs better open button

The BD 390 has worked great right out of the box. Picture quality and ease of use is very good. Hookup to my HDTV was easily done with a HDMI cable.

solid streaming player

This is a solid streaming bluray player. Obviously it's received numerous positive reviews from the "experts", which I took into consideration when making this purchase. The player has a lot of functionality and tweak-ability, for those so inclined. The on screen menus are fairly straightforward for making those adjustments. You can be up and running fairly quickly after taking it out of the box. It loads discs relatively quick, which is nice. Picture quality is great and even does a good job upscaling. My only real complaint about the player is the wireless connectivity. One of the main reasons I bought this player was for the wireless N capability. I have a wireless N router and still have problems every now and then getting HD movies to stream in HD from Netflix. My other minor gripe is around the lack of Pandora. I would like to see a software update that includes Pandora especially b/c the new lineup of players offers this capability. Def worth a purchase tho, if you can find one.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: weak wireless signal

I was able to hook up this blu-ray player very quickly, connect to the internet and register my netflix account, and begin watching movies just as fast. Load times for movies are excellent as well. I have had no issues with this player to speak of.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
