Good, but...

My first Blu-Ray player and really like the features. Poor ability to upload new drivers and always have to use the USB or CD burn (annoying, but not a deal killer). Sometimes have to re-initialize the wireless connection even when it says it is connected. Overall, pretty pleased with the unit.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: poor wireless

I did research and compare reviews before deciding on this model and felt I had at least done my homework for sure. I have been more than happy with this unit. Not only the quality of BluRay DVD picture but the streaming capabilities from Netflix and access to my centralized online movie library from a local network connection was an added bonus. I also have an LG NAS unit, on which I store digital music and movies which the BluRay player can access and play with higher resolution than my AppleTV and it took me all of 30 seconds to configure a name and password to hit the networked share. Too awesome - movies load faster than any of my friend's BluRay players. Menu is very intuitive and easy to use. It's stable and doesn't hang, or flake out like many others. I have very high expectations and I'm happy to say the LG BD390 far exceeded what I expected in quality, ease of use, features, and value. Well done LG! Keep it up !!!

LG BD390

Extremely easy to set up. We love the Youtube feature. One thing I wish they would add is the ability to fast forward through media that is on the network. I record shows on my PC that I would like to watch on this player and would like to skip the commercials.
Also if they would use the internal memory to buffer the VUDU streaming to make up for a slow network connection - that would be extremely appreciated - maybe a future firmware release?
Overall excellent picture quality in 1080P - I would recommend this player to anyone.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: no fast forward on network media, use internal memory for buffering streaming video

I purchased this product about a year ago and I absolutely love it. I use all the applications but use Netflix the most. The only small disappointment is that it does not have Pandora or something similar but overall I am well pleased. I would highly recommend this product.

My first BD390 was exactly what I was looking for, yet hard to find. Once hooked to my home entertainment system, 65 inch Plasma, and WIFI access point which was a snap with Comcast Broadband service, provided excellant on demand service from Netflix, Cinima Now, VUDU, and other features. I was so pleased, I had to find out if my service from Comcast would support multiple BD390's in my home. The Master BR beckoned for another BD390 to enjoy with our 50 inch Plasma at the foot of the bed. So I searched and found another, hooked it into my home WIFI network and gave Netflix a real test. I started a movie on demand in the family room, went upstairs and started the same movie. I wanted to see if I could stream 2 of the same movies from Netflix at the same time and see if I hade any digital breakup. NOPE, everything works perfect, and the LG BD390's perform excellant along with the WIFI network. This is awesome. I have 5 computers, a satellite radio, and 2 BD390, a I-touch all running without a hitch. LIFE's GOOD!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: no lighted remote

I purchased this blu-ray player over six months ago and been enjoying high quality picture ever since. The setup was very easy even for a female that usually doesn't deal with wires and connections :) Was able to set up the wireless and Netflix parts within minutes and continue to be amazed by the picture quality. Being able to watch YouTube and Netflix through this player is a huge bonus.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: the remote control is clumsy.

I truly enjoy my Blu-ray player, works great, and is very easy to use. I especially like the NetFlix streaming capability. My only issue with this product is the remote. Very disappointing in comparison to their competition. You need to add a backlight and give it more universal capabilities (the ability to interact with a stereo receiver). For what I paid for this product at the time, I can't get over how cheaply made the remote is. Other than that I would highly recommend the BD390 or its later models.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
