I just received this blu ray player and I am very impressed. The picture is awesome, the sound is fantastic and it is loaded with some great features. I would recommend this. Go out and buy it today!

Superior Performance

I am very pleased with my new BD390. I was able to immediate connect it to my plasma tv and see the superior picture of a regular DVD. I was also able to hook up to Netflix and begin watching movies using a wireless connection. I was particular impressed with the quick download time and superior pictures. Sees the quality is as good as if I would have used an ethernet connection. I would highly recommend this unit if you want to use the wireless connection.

Totally worth it!

This was my first foray into the world of HD and Blu-Ray, but from the start it was pleasant to deal with. The quality of picture is awesome, even when playing a DVD it feels like I'm on the set. The Simplink feature used in conjunction with my LG LED/LCD tv makes use really simple. I've been streaming media to my tv for years using my Xbox360, including Netflix and music from my PC. Now I can do the same with my Blu-Ray player. I'm loving the setup I've put together.
I'd say the only drawback I've noticed so far is the Disc tray and door seem flimsy. They haven't broken, but I could see them snapping pretty easily.

Netflix & youtube play superbly.
Would be nice to see more streaming channels added like Diggnation.
Remote could be a little more powerful with infrared beam, have to point directly at IR port to activate.
Overall video playback is excellent!

I purchased the BD390 based on CNET's top rating and I don't regret it. It has performed just as advertised. I use it to play DVD's and blu-ray disks and also to download Netflix movies and TV shows. It was easy to set up and it interfaced perfectly with my TV and A/V receiver/amplifier. Loads disks quickly, sound is great, picture is great, downloading is easy - what more could you ask for? I can't think of any cons.

This is a great Blu-Ray player with lots of outstanding features. Picture quality is excellent and the system was very easy to setup and use. The one negative, which does not detract from all the great features and picture quality, is the remote (range is limited and the remote has to be pointed right at the sensor on the system). OVERALL, a great piece of electronics!! Well done LG.

Received this BD player for Christmas. Have it hooked up to our big screen plasma and the picture quality is great! Have it connected to the network and have updated the firmawre and all I can say is WOW. Very impressed with the features and movie rental capabilities. I have all of the PCs in our house and family members machines backup to a central server at the house. After setting up a share, I can no view ALL the pictures from several machines through this device. Simply Awesome!

Best Blu-ray

This Blue-ray puts the others to shame. I also own a Sharp Blue-ray player and there is no comparision. The wireless internet connection makes it a breeze to update the players firmware and to get live streaming videos from several different sources. This is money well spent.
