Good, but there are some annoyances

I got this device because it was offered as a reward for credit card points. I always wanted a Blu-Ray player and when I read that it communicated with YouTube and NetFlix wirelessly - I was sold. And for those two things, the device works beautifully.
As for DVDs... I have not yet opened up any of my Blu-Ray movies yet, so I cannot speak to any Blu-Ray specific details. Sorry.
My wife and I have watched several regular DVDs and there are some things that are _really_ anoying:
1) There is no way to get a display of the time remainging in the current chapter/title.
2) It often screws up when drawing a DVD menu. It will maintain the previous background image and then overlay the correct menu options. It is very confusing. Arrested development fores a new background for each chapter selection, so that is OK. But most DVD menus do not create new backgrounds, so you are stuck not really knowing what you are on and have to click menu to start the navigation again.
3) When a DVD is paused, you cannot use the scan button to go back, you have play and then scan
4) If you pause a movie, and then push PLAY, the video will start but it takes the audio a second or so to come through. It is like the movie is on mute for a just a second or so. Weird.

Can most of these problems be worked around? Yes. Is it annoying. Yes. I have lived with it so far. And as I already admitted, I have not even opened up my Blu-Ray movies yet... so that tells you how important movie watching is for me, so I have dealt with it. The machine also has an update feature, so I am holding out hope that one of the updates will resolve the issues.

I was amaze how easy it was to set up the wi-fi features. Instruction were simple and easy to follow. I was especially please I did not have to buy any additional wires, cables or any other kinda of equipment to connect to the internet

Was very easy to set up. Connected to my current G router very easily. Great picture. Love the ability to connect to the internet wirelessly. Very easy to connect to Netflix and vudu. Definitely happy with my purchase. Very easy to update the software.
So far the only con, is that the vudu Internet Apps are not available. Would be nice to have all the features from vudu, i.e. Pandora, flickr, on Demand TV. Hopefully will be available soon.

BD390 is so good - I bought 2

I bought a BD390....was sooooo impressed and bought a second.
I run all my videos through it....Blue ray, Hard drive based content, streaming content and on and on....
It rocks....

This is my first LG purchase but, it will lead to many more. My BD390 is a far superior BlueRay player of all that I had checked out.

Not yet ready for sale

I've had my BD390 for a little over a year and while it does a great job doing everything except play Blu Ray disks, it is horribly incompatible with too many disks.
I've kept the unit upgraded to the latest software, and I've called the tech support people still, it refuses to play some disks.
If I had it to do over again I would just buy a DVD player.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using this Blu-ray player now for one month. It has been everything as advertised....loaded with great features and excellent picture quality.

Fast loading. Great picture and sound quality. Just bought two of them. That's how much I like this player.
