Do not buy this printer if you want to use it with wireless network....unless you have hours at a time to reconfig and try to find downloads.....It also leaves you DEAD in the water if it runs out of any color ink, instead of reverting to black only.....not much thought or consideration given to the operation or the customer
Cons: add a con

This printer is VERY difficult to set up wirelessly. I had it set up on our main computer, but could not get it set up on our second computer. This printer constantly drops connections with the one computer it was set up on and we are unable to print. It is basically a paper weight...

DO NOT Purchase

My printer is about 14 months old. About six weeks ago I started to receive Error Messages: CN000, I pressed the power button in for 5 seconds to reset the printer's CN000 error message. I then removed the back access panel as directed and removed the paper which was between the rollers (the paper was not even jammed, it did not require too much pulling to release) I checked the inside of the printer with a flashlight from the top of the rear paper loader, access panel, and underneath as directed and found no obstructions. It has only gotten worse and it continues to use enormous amounts of ink. I have gone through three combo packs of color inks (color is hardly ever used) and 4 large black ink cartridges in about four weeks, they are once again empty. While I am writting this review, I only have one more black 220 cartridge left. A decision must be made. I may just buy a laser printer, possibly a different brand. This printer has been giving me a major headache, up until 4a.m. trying to print a black ink document which was only fifteen pages. I started printing at 2 a.m. (I probably reset and waited for the printer to restart > 12x) TOO EXPENSIVE to maintain ink and its time consuming to keep resetting and clearing paper stoppages. This is the first review I have ever written, but I felt it was very important to notify other consumers before they throw their money away. Especially during these hard economic times.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: unreliable, High Ink Consumption, multiple paper jam errors cn000

Highly Recommended. Replaced my MP780 which departed after 6 years of use. MX860 is well beyond the MP780 features, easy on ink and very reliable. Ink cost is less. Biggest benefit is wireless abilities. Wireless scanning is huge plus for networks. Footprint is adequate - not small but not too large - expected for this type of multifunction. Setup was quick and easy - no blurps or mishaps. Photos are outstanding.
Pros: durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors

Love this printer, fax, scanner! Easy to use and hook up. Any problems are easy to identify and address (out of paper, etc.) I have not used the fax yet but am eager to hook up and use. When I added another computer to the printer (use wireless laptop and corded desktop) I didn't need my computer genius child to hook it up. I could easliy do it. I recently returned another brand due the inconsistancy of it working and it seemed to be one problem after another. When asked for a recommendation from the sales associate he highly reccommeded Cannon brand for printers. Would have liked it to be a little smaller on my desk, but I forgive it because it does everything I need it to easily and consistantly. With a housefull of college and high school students thats a must.
Pros: durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Heavy/Bulky
