Unhappy with product

Purchased the PIXMA860 to replace another AIO printer that quit working. First, the directions to set it up were confusing, with stating instructions on top of the page and then down on the bottom of the page it would say, be sure to... etc. It took us 4 hours to set it up. The print quality wasn't as good as expected, and it was not user friendly. It was smaller and quieter than our previous one. We ended up returning it to the store.
Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Poor user experience and printer functions.
Takes 2 minutes to print the first page of a report while the printer goes through numerous gyrations.
The OCR function of the printer software is very unacceptable as compared to other printers. Misrepresents characters as compared to the original document which makes it useless for OCR.
Not suggested as a printer for the average person.

great home business all in one

great all in one machine for a small home business...does everything i need it to do in a simple manner...had difficulty setting it up to the wireless mode but that is the only problem we have had...very pleased with our purchase
Pros: easy to use, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Difficult Setup

Setup stinks

Setting this printer up for wireless usage is AWFUL to say the least. It took me almost 3 hours. Then! Filling out the registration needed the serial number. It's NOWHERE on the printer. NO WHERE. I had to take it from THE BOX the printer came in. A big bit and bulky. Printing is a bit slow to start but quick to finish a page once it does start.
Other than that...printing is very quiet, paper printing is excellent. Haven't tried photos yet. All in all, nice printer once you get it up and running.
Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky, Difficult Setup
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've owned this printerfor 16 months now, the price was good and print quality also good.it was easy to set up. Wireless is awesome I use it all over the house. The bottomline buy it you'll like it.

This printer has everything you need for a small office or top of the line home office. Fax/Copy/Scan/Print, it does it all! Excellent tools for home picture development as well. Reads memory cards and it's WIRELESS! You can use it anywhere...and I will! Great machine and was easy to set up right out of the box! Could be a lttle quicker but I don't mind waiting a little longer for perfection.
Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors, great value
Cons: it's a little slow printing

Best Printer I've Ever Had

I absolutely loved this printer. I bought it with my MacBook Pro. The installation took a bit because I read the directions on the wrong page, and I tired to put an ink carton in the wrong spot; however, those were the only two problems. The wireless set up took almost no time at all, and it printed perfectly. I would suggest this printer for anyone who needs one, no matter what you need it for. It definitely is the best printer I've ever had.
Pros: Lightweight/Portable, durable, Easy Setup, fast print speed, reliable
