Poor color management

I purchased this product to be able to print specialty transfer materials because my laser printer doesn't do that. The printer worked just fine for the first few projects until I started working with a range of blues and greens. It absolutely will not print those correctly. After spending two work days trying to set up the color management on the driver I've given up. Also this printer doesn't must be able to print Post Script level 2 or 3 and print in CMYK because it has 2 black cartridges but I've been unable to get any coherent tech support on getting the factory settings changed.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption
Cons: Dull Tones & Colors
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i am so pleased with my purchase. it's quiet, nice print quality with it set on "standard quality". printing is a bit slow but could maybe tweek the settings to print faster - could be my wireless connection too. i'm using it at home but would for sure be great for an office. love the duplexing ability! set up was hard for me because i had never set up a wireless anything before - for other users i would guess not so much. probably the best printer i have worked with at home or office.
Pros: Compact Design, durable, easy to use, Sharp Tones & Colors

Solid printer

This is my second Canon Printer. I have been using the all-in-one printer (MX860) for about 6 months. Once I got it set up (wireless) it's been a dream...as a printer. I have found the scanning process frustrating, to be honest. But as a printer...for home office...it is top quality. Great in b/w & color, and very crisp w/ photos, and reasonable use of ink. I wish my car was as economical.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors, always at the ready
Cons: Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky

Great printer/copier

We have been using this product for about six months. Have had little tech issues, mostly connecting to our network and have gotten great support.
Great printer, great copier and easy to use. Photos are good to great and it is fast in all aspects.

Awesome printer for wireless

This computer is great for someone choosing a wireless network... Easy to use... It was easy to connect to.. But going from network to USB cable, not so easy.. Especially after windows upgrade. For myself, being wireless, this printer is awsome. To not be wireless, I would have chose another product. Thank you.
Pros: Low Ink Consumption, fast print speed, easy to use, wireless connection easy
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, difficult to go back to cable, difficult after software upgrade

Over the years, my family has had 5 Canon printers and one fax machine before this one, all have been durable and very reliable. Separate ink colors first sold me.
Con: It does not allow phone calls while on; the fax "handshake" always intrudes and the machine will not allow me to turn it off to continue the call unless I unplug it.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky

Great printer, hard to setup

Great printer. Difficult to follow instructions - on-screen and manual; not intuitive, especially if you are connecting printer to network. Once successfully connected, it is a great multi-function printer - great photographs, good printout, and a very good scanner.
A good example of what can be improved is a simple instruction on where to look for serial number; I chanced upon it!
Good home-office equipment. I only wish it came with less confusing instructions.
