I had actually been leaning toward a Plasma (for frequency, viewing angle, and price considerations) when an opportunity to purchase this TV at an excellent price came up. Since I had recently researched all available products, it was an easy decision to make. We watched all 2 weeks of the Olympics on this set via local broadcast HD signal, and it was our best home viewing experience so far - the color and clarity of this set made the Olympics breathtaking to watch. I am only puzzled by (and this is common to virtually all HD sets - all manufacturers) the lack of multiple Coax inputs and RCA audio outputs (for wireless headphones). There are ways around this, but it would be more convenient if the TV had these features on-board.

This is a terrific television! The picture is just beautiful! The HD channels have an incredible picture. It was easy to set up and connect to blu ray player via hdmi. Would recommend this to friends and family.

THIS WAS THE BEST PURCHASE, THE PRICE WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE AND THE QUALITY IS GREAT. THE HIGH DEFINITION QUALITY IS SO REALISTIC, IT MAKES ME WANT TO PURCHASE ANOTHER TV FOR MY BEDROOM. IT WAS EASY FOR A WOMAN TO SET UP, EVEN ADDING A HOME THEATER SYSTEM WAS SIMPLE.

This TV is great. The picture is awesome. I have a slight issue with a lyp synch issue but my understanding is there is a firmware update. I'm contacting LG to fix. But overall, great set!

This is our first HDTV and we hit a home run. Great picture, incredible price. Don't know how we ever watched TV without HD. Now we have to replace the other TVs in the house!

LG has done it again. I love this set. The picture quality is simply amazing. This set has wonderfully vibrant colors and a crystal clear picture. Sound quality is also very good for a LCD set. The difference between the 47LH40 and my old CRT is like night and day. Side by side comparison at the local electronics outlet helped seal the deal as this set had the best picture in the store. I highly recomend this set to anyone.

Did our research and came up with the LG. What was even better is was on sale :) HD Movies look awesome... the xbox 360 games are amazing... I've seen a few reviews regarding the poor quality of the sound, but we've been very pleased. Very easy to use, though, there are enough menus for tweaking if you're interested. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality HD set.
